Traffic map, Real-Time Traffic Updates

Finding an address unknown to us is not always an easy task, but it is especially tricky and annoying when unexpected traffic jams prevent us from reaching our destination. The emergence and spread of online maps are undoubtedly one of the most exceptional help when traveling, but thankfully that’s not all! Thanks to recent developments by the largest map providers (Google Maps, Bing Maps, MapQuest, or Apple Maps), route planning can also be optimized based on real-time traffic congestion. Using the map below, e.g., you can quickly check what traffic conditions you may encounter at your destination or just on the go. Plan, overcome unexpected traffic situations.

Tip: Use the Choose view menu in the bottom-right corner of the map to display traffic conditions, roadblocks, traffic incidents, satellite maps, terrain maps, and public transport.

Live Traffic & Road Conditions

The real-time traffic map above shows the user’s current traffic information for major highways and roads in over 50 countries. The feature uses four-color codes (black, red, yellow, green) to indicate traffic volume, from the most massive traffic to lightest traffic situations.

If you want route planning, visit our driving directions page, where you can also control traffic congestion on the go.

What are the colored lines represent on the Traffic Update map above?

  • The dreaded red lines on the map mean highway traffic is moving at less than 25 miles / 40.2 km per hour and could indicate an accident or congestion on that route
  • Yellow lines on the map indicate that traffic is moving faster, from 25 to 50 miles / 40.2 to 80.46 km per hour
  • Green lines on the traffic map indicate zipping along at 50 miles / 80.46 km per hour or more
  • If you see grey lines on the map, that shows that there’s no traffic information available at the time
  • The Red-black line on the map indicates extremely slow or stopped traffic
